The American Star Shipwreck

The American Star was on its way to Thailand in 1994 to become a floating restaurant after being taken out of commission as an ocean liner. After encountering a heavy storm, the tug towing the ship had to cut it free, it was intended to pick up again after the storm. Unfortunately, the ship ran aground and could not be refloated and has been there ever since. It is an incredible sight as you come across it, the currents in the water are very dangerous here and no one should attempt to swim out to the wreck. The back end of the ship has now fallen into the ocean but you can still see the magnificence of the ship.
